Managing and Sustaining a Global Business Continuity Management

Arunabh will be sharing on how a global organization manages it Business Continuity Management (BCM) programme. The development of a Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework, the constant re-evaluation of current and new threats to Genpact is a constant challenge to any organization operating with such a widely spread geographical locations. The building of organizational capability to respond to such threats in order to safeguard the interests of key stakeholders, reputation, brand and value-adding activities will be discussed.
He will be explaining on how managing and sustaining a Global Business Continuity Program requires a Continuous Improvement Process. This includes a on-going preventive and correction actions process (as required by BS25999 certified companies) to improve products, services, or processes. These efforts can seek “incremental” improvement over time or “breakthrough” improvement all at once. He will also be elaborating on the delivery (customer valued) processes in which are constantly evaluated and improved in the light of their efficiency, effectiveness and flexibility.

Arunabh Mitra is currently the Vice President -is the Global Business Continuity and National Infrastructure Leader for Genpact, a $ 1.25 billion enterprise employing over 53,600 people in various locations and providing services in 30 languages on a 24/7 basis. Arunabh is currently responsible for Business Continuity across the enterprise spanning 17 countries and 51 offices globally. He has 15+ years of experience in Service delivery, Project management, Infrastructure and Business Continuity management in a Business to Business environment for the Software/IT/ITES, Manufacturing and BFSI sectors.
Prior to joining Genpact , Arunabh has worked with the Taj Group of hotels owners of India’s largest chain of luxury hotels. He is Green Belt certified on Quality and Sixsigma and has Lead Auditor certifications from ISO9001 & BS25999.
